NO TOUCH-UPS NECESSARY!

Lipstick That Lasts All Day:

-Blot and use powder to make lipstick last.

-The key to making any lipstick last is to layer.

-Start by lining and filling in her lips with a nude lip liner or one that matches the lipstick.

-Then, apply a light layer of lipstick with a lip brush.

-Hold a tissue over her mouth, blot the color, and dust a light layer of translucent powder over top.

Repeat the process one or two more times for lip color that won’t budge.

How Not To Look Old – The Three-Bling Rule

Too many of us make the mistake of piling on every shiny, glitzy, fancy thing we own when we get dressed for evening or a wedding.

It’s easy to overdo it.

Here’s an easy fashion rule to follow:

THE THREE-BLING RULE.

You need to count up your bling, because you are allowed only three bling points.

  • Sparkly dress (2 bling points)
  • bold necklace (1 bling)
  • earrings (1 bling)
  • shimmery metallic sandals (1 bling)
  • cocktail ring (1 bling)
  • shoes or bag (1 bling)
  • jeweled cuff bracelet (1 bling)

Remember that location matters:  You don’t want to use two bling points in close proximity.

Congratulations!  You look gorgeous!

Was this helpful?

P.S. – We would love to hear from you.  What’s your number one frustration as a woman over 40 right now?  Please COMMENT below.

Are you afraid of looking like the OLD LADY wearing all the noisy bangles, necklaces, obnoxious hat, the go-go boots and the glasses handing from a bedazzled chain around her neck?  No fear!

I want to share with you what one of my coaching clients, Dr. Rosemary, said:

…It’s been a long time since I cared what I looked like because I felt like I was a lost cause

She had the same fears you have, and I was able to help her by teaching her the 16 Pt. Accessory Rule.

I have a great way to help you gauge whether you’re wearing the right amount of accessories every day.

Here’s the thing:  It’s more than just throwing on a necklace.

There is a 16 Pt. Accessory RULE.

I learned about the 16 Pt. Accessory Rule from one of my mentors, Shari Braendel (Fashion Meets Faith), who learned it somewhere along the road of her fashion career.

This is a method where you add (or subtract) points for exactly what you are wearing.  The object is to reach 16 points when you are finished.
