Let’s Talk Multi-Purpose Makeup

I’ve made a list of products that do more than what they’re meant for: multi-purpose makeup! Learn my five ways to strategically use multi-purpose products in places that enhance our natural beauty.

Now, let’s dive into five superstar products that will become your go-to multitaskers:

My 5-Product Makeup Routine For Mature Skin
  1. Cream Blush: The Ultimate Age-Defying Ally

As we age, our skin tends to lose its natural radiance and moisture. Cream blushes are a game-changer for mature women, offering a hydrating formula that adds a fresh flush to the cheeks while nourishing the skin.

Their blendable texture allows for seamless application, minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a fresh, dewy glow.

How to Apply Cream Blush for Mature Skin

Cream blushes make the ideal multi-use makeup product: their buttery textures and subtle washes of color make them perfectly adaptable to a number of looks! And my Lipstick Boss Beauty Glow Cream is one of my favorites. Whether you’re wanting a natural looking flush on your cheeks, a creamy eyeshadow or the perfect lip look, cream products are a makeup must have!

2. Vitamin E Sticks: Nourishment and Protection, All in One

Mature skin requires extra TLC, and vitamin E sticks are here to deliver. Packed with antioxidants and moisture-rich ingredients, these little magic wands offer a convenient solution for addressing multiple skincare concerns in one easy step.

How to Apply Vitamin E Stick for Mature Skin

Multi-purpose Vitamin E balms are essential because they can be used for many things. Infused with minerals, My Lipstick Boss Beauty Vitamin E Stick moisturizes, relieves chapped dry lips, smooths, softens and refreshes lips, fights against wrinkles and puffiness under eyes, can smooth wild eyebrow hairs and even nourish your nails. It’s a fan favorite and a must-have in your makeup bag!

3. Clear Brow Gel: Effortless Elegance for Every Look

Sparse and unruly brows can be a common concern as we age, but clear brow gel is a simple yet effective solution. Not only does it tame and shape brows with ease, but it can also double as a mascara alternative for subtle definition and volume for mature, deep set and hooded eyes without the undereye smudge.

With just a few swipes, you can achieve groomed brows and fluttery lashes that frame your face beautifully, enhancing your natural features without the need for multiple products.

4. Bronzer: Warmth and Definition for Mature Skin

Bronzer is a versatile staple for mature women, offering a sun-kissed glow and adds subtle warmth and dimension to the complexion. Its buildable formula allows for customizable coverage, allowing you to achieve a natural, healthy radiance without looking over done.

How to Apply Bronzer for Mature Skin

Use a fluffy brush to lightly dust bronzer onto areas where the sun naturally hits your face, such as the forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. Avoid applying too much product to prevent an overly bronzed or muddy appearance. Plus bronzer can double as eyeshadow, adding depth and definition to the eyes for a polished, cohesive look. A makeup artist-approved and cult favorite is Glow On Bronzer, a must-have for every capsule makeup collection!

5. Lipstick Magic

Lipstick is a game-changer for mature skin, giving you a natural pop of color for both lips and cheeks in one easy step.

How to Apply Lipstick for Mature Skin

Choose the Right Shade. Apply Lipstick to Lips: Use a lipstick brush or directly apply the lipstick to your lips, taking your time to fill in your lips evenly, staying within your natural lip line for a polished finish. Then, use your fingertips to dab a small amount of lipstick onto the apples of your cheeks. Using your fingertips, blend the lipstick onto your cheeks in circular motions, working upwards towards your temples. Be sure to blend well to achieve a seamless, natural-looking flush of color.

Say goodbye to the hassle of using multiple products and hello to effortless beauty. But wait, there’s more…

How to Choose the Right Shades of Makeup

Picking the right colors matters, especially as we get older – it can make a big difference in how we look and feel. Figuring out your undertone is the first step. Understanding your undertone is key to selecting shades that harmonize with your complexion and bring out your best features.

To determine your undertone, take a close look at the veins on your wrist: if they appear blue, you likely have cool undertones, while green veins indicate warm undertones. If you can’t quite tell, you may have neutral undertones, which means you can wear a variety of shades.

Once you’ve identified your undertone, opt for makeup products – such as foundation, blush and lipstick – that align with it to achieve a cohesive, flattering look that enhances your unique beauty.

Let’s Talk Color Analysis for Makeup

Figuring out your undertone is the first step. Then, take it a bit further by discovering your Color Code™, a color analysis system by Shari Braendel of Style by Color, that matches your hair, eyes, and skin tone to certain colors.

This way, you can confidently pick makeup shades without even trying them on. It’s like having a personal guide for shopping! At Lipstick Boss Beauty, we’re all about celebrating your unique beauty. That’s why we offer lipsticks by Color Code, so you can find shades that suit you perfectly, every time.

How to Look Your Best on Video

Are you hesitating to get on facebook LIVE and do video presentations because you don’t like the way you look?

Are you nervous about the extra 10 pounds the camera adds, and so you’re waiting until you lose weight?

Do you think your hair & makeup need to be professionally done?

Or maybe you’ve bought into that whole “It shouldn’t matter what I look like – people should like me for me, not because of how I look” trend?

And you’re right.

You absolutely do not have to take extra care to present your “best self” UNLESS….

You want to Stand Out,

Be Memorable and

Be the go-to Expert!

The truth is:

How you look and what you wear has a big impact on how you will be perceived by your viewing audience.

In other words, Your Personal Appearance matters!

Here’s the GOOD NEWS, Your style is perfect for you.

You want your viewers to spend more time looking at your face (and hearing your message) than staring at or being distracted by your clothes in your video presentations.

Taking extra care to present your “best self” ensures that the way you “look” meets the expectations of your target audience and builds your credibility.

Here are Three Vital Tips to help you dress for success in your video presentations.

  1. Your Makeup.  Your makeup application needs to be applied “heavier” than you would normally use in daily life.  (The camera & lights can really diminish or wash out your features, so it’s vital to have the most expressive features on your face defined and framed properly).
  2. Your Hair.  Have a good hair day!  If your hair is flat or frizzy it can affect your performance.
  3. Your Clothes.  Wear comfortable clothes and what you feel you look the best in.  If you are comfortable then you will be confident.

BONUS!

The camera doesn’t like black or white patterns.  Solid colors look best and highlight your figure. (Make sure you’re wearing the right hue – complementing your skin tone).  Yes, the camera can add pounds and certain cuts are better for your figure.

NOW you can get on video anytime, anywhere and Never Be Nervous Again!

Is Contouring Necessary for Faces Over 50? {VIDEO}

As a makeup artist, next to “Can you show me how to do a smokey-eye?”,

“Can you show me how to contour?” is the second biggest request that I get.

If you’re over the AGE of 50 you might not know what contouring is.  I’m here to help you.

I’m here to let you know if it relates to you and your mature beauty.

CONTOURING is the art of using shade & light to create depth in your face or literally change your entire face shape (like Kim K.-style)

As we mature, our skin thins and we naturally have more depth in the hollows of our cheeks – causing our cheek bones to be more prominent!  Yay!  Celebration Time!!!

You do not need to contour your cheeks and risk looking crazy and overdone.

However, we can contour our “jowls” and “double chins.  Use a shade that is just one shade darker than your foundation color.  Watch the 90 Seconds With Nancy video below.

Now you can say… “I came.  I saw.  I contoured!”
