10 Best Summer 2023 Makeup Trends That Will Be Everywhere and How to Wear Them
BARBIE GLOW BLUSH
The Makeup Trend: Barbie pink cheeks (flushed but fresh finish)
My Pro Tip: Use any kind of poppy-pink lipstick as a blush, mixed with a liquid illuminator. Mix the two and press it. The placement of this blush is set high on the cheek above the apple, almost under the eye for a soft, subtle, sheer look.
BLACK SMOKEY-EYES
The Makeup Trend: Black, sooty eyes (summer smudge)

The Makeup Trend: Draw on contour and blush underneath your foundation.

TWO-TONE LIPS
The Makeup Trend: Contrasting shades on the top and bottom lip.
My Pro Tip: This trend is best with liquid lipstick in two contrasting shades. I say go for it! Or, modify this trend for everyday life – I recommend drawing an outline around your lips in one color, then filling it all in with a different color or wearing two different shades of lipsticks combined for a two dimensional, ombre/two-tone look.
FRESH SKIN
The Makeup Trend: Dewy, ‘No Makeup’ Makeup (Single Layer Makeup)
My Pro Tip: Rather than layering your makeup products on top of each other (foundation, concealer, highlighter, blush) you simply apply each product in ONE layer, only to the section of the face it is needed on. The end result is a really natural look with flawless glowing skin.
STYLED BROWS
The Makeup Trend: Colored brows. (pink, blue, green, purple)
My Pro Tip: Sure, that’s fun and if it’s your personality, I say go for it! Just be sure you wear your Color Code colors! But, Low Maintenance ‘natural brow’ look is also back. So let’s embrace the beauty of your natural brows by keeping them softly groomed and filled in with a lightweight brow gel or pencil for a more effortless and relaxed look.
BONUS TIP! If you have wirey, out of control brow hairs, you can use a Vitamin E Stick to tame those wild ones – and then pop it on your lips – morning and night for smooth, healthy, hydrated lips! It’s a fan favorite!
TIGHTLINE FOR LOWER LIDS ONLY
The Makeup Trend: Tightline (eyeliner) for lower lids only.
