3 PRO Tips To Naming Your Makeup Business

How do you choose a name for your makeup business?

When choosing a name for your Makeup Artist Business, you want to pick something that reflects YOU, and the work you do.

It’s the first impression you give to potential clients.

I’ve taught hundreds of new Makeup Artists, like you, about branding their businesses and it all starts with choosing the perfect name.

Don’t beat your brains out about it.  Just be your authentic, unique self.

I want you to consider these THREE things:

  1.  CONSIDER YOUR BRAND VIBE…  (i.e., Luxury, Eclectic, Natural)

LIST 3 Words that describe Your Personality.

___________, ____________, ______________.

Your VIBE is what is going to ATTRACT your ideal clients (instead of a bunch of randoms) and really help you STAND OUT and get BOOKED!

2.  CONSIDER USING YOUR PROPER NAME.

Insert your name into the following name generator.

How Much Should I Charge for Wedding Makeup?

Hey Lipstick Boss!

The question I get asked the most by Bridal Makeup Artists is “How much should I charge for wedding makeup?

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, reportedly spent over $13,000 for hair and makeup on her wedding day.

The Bridal Beauty Industry is a Billion Dollar Industry – You deserve your piece of the pie!

Here is the “industry average” for traditional bridal makeup applications:

For the BRIDE, rates range from $85-$125, depending on the complexity of the makeup application.

BRIDESMAIDS have a lower cost than the bride and can average between $50 and $100.

In addition to the initial wedding makeup, sometimes BRIDES request that you remain on-site to provide touch-up services.

(I offer a set rate for FULL-DAY services.  For example, $50 per hour after the initial application costs.)

What about TRIALS, TRAVEL EXPENSES & TOUCH UP SERVICES?

Trials, travel expenses and Touch-up services are in addition to the wedding makeup application.
